Travel Grants Information and Online Application 

Grant requests must be submitted via the online application and information emailed or faxed to US Collegiate Archery. Please note all of the criteria below prior to applying.

The grants will be determined  based on several criteria including the size of the club, other funding sources, qualifying scores, attendance at specific events, and association with a college and university. 

 

Basic Criteria for team support: 

  1. Qualifying Scores - For a team in each Division and class, compound or recurve, men or women, at least 1 person must meet the qualifying score.  If more than one person shot a qualifying score, clubs can submit additional information.  Archers must shoot a qualifying score at a minimum of 1 event.  Qualifying scores must be shot at sanctioned USCA events (State Indoor Championships, Indoor Nationals, Regional Championships, TX Shootout, ASA ProAm 3D in Florida, Georgia and/or TX).  Club must submit qualifying scores to USCA using the Qualifying Score form.

    • Indoor – 18m FITA  target 40 cm, 30 arrows

  1. Distance of travel for event
    • Clubs must submit distance to the event in miles
  1. Number of team members
    1. Full team is 3  in each division and class: recurve and compound, men and women
    2. A team is not limited to 12 participants, nor to 3 in each division/class
    3. Teams are not required to have a full team to apply
  1. Efforts to grow the club
    1. Efforts to grow college club and competition team
    2. Number of USCA Club/Team members in 2008, 2009 and 2010 (determined by Collegiate Individual membership not by a club roster) 
  1. Attendance at respective USCA Outdoor Regional Championship
  1. Support from University/College
    1. Clubs that receive any type of support for competition events must submit information.
    2. University support does not disqualify a team from receiving support but is considered as part of the overall criteria.
  1. Clubs who receive travel funding must:
    1. Submit all required qualifying information including
      1. Qualifying Scores
      2. University EIN number and IRS letter of exemption
    2. Complete online application
    3. Athletes must attend the event or return funding
  1. Funding cannot be used for coaches or volunteers
