Call for Justice Committee Nominees

USCA is in the process of establishing the Justice Committee.   

The Justice Committee is a standing committee.  Its purpose is to adjudicate complaints that stem from violations of the USCA By-laws and the Association’s Rules and Procedures, including the Code of Ethics. 

The Justice Committee shall be comprised of five members; a member from each region and the chair, who may be from any region; the members serve for one year.

Chair of this committee is appointed by the Chairman of the Board.  The remaining committee members are selected and approved by the Board. The committee members are appointed each year at the Annual Meeting of the Association.

The committee members may be either Athlete or Coach Members of the Association.

The activity of this committee is described in the Association’s Rules and Procedures Ethics Guide.

Service on the Justice Committee does not prohibit a member from serving on other committees or the Board of Directors.

The Justice Committee shall make recommendations to the Board of Directors on ethical issues as defined in the USCA Code of Ethics Guide.

The process for nominees to be considered for a position on the Justice Committee are

  1. Must be a currently registered athlete or coach with USCA (as of 22 April 2010)
  2. Must be a member in good standing
  3. Must be able to serve in a fair and impartial manner without personal bias.
  4. Must not have a background history that would include a criminal or negative financial history.

 

Applications may be submitted via email to Executive Director, Lorretta Sinclair, or via USPS to USCA PO Box 1537, Ridgecrest, CA 93556. 

All USPS applications must be postmarked no later than 15 June 2010 and if sent via email, must be received no later than 6pm 15 June 2010.  An acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to each applicant.
